The Krewe of Conus was founded in April of 2021, after the MegaCone revealed itself in a pothole of notable size and significance at Washington & Constance. The Cone is a metaphor for overcoming everyday obstacles, ‘ warns us, protects us, guides us.’
The Krewe of Conus honors and advances the calling of The Great Cone by engaging in monthly community service projects that support and improve the New Orleans community—whether that means cultivating green infrastructure, providing disaster response, or raising awareness of youth homelessness.
